The Notorious B.I.G. is making headlines again. With a little over a month passing since the late rapper’s death anniversary, Los Angeles-based company ARHT Media made a huge announcement about a B.I.G. hologram that’s happening sooner than most would probably expect.
“This project has been a long time coming, and it is very special to me,” said Ms. Wallace, Biggie’s mother. “Words can’t even capture how elated I am for the world to finally see my son again on stage and beyond. Christopher’s impact and legacy will not only live through his past work, but also the new experiences which have been made possible through ARHT Media.” The hologram is a partnership between ARHT Media and ByStorm Entertainment who handles B.I.G.’s estate with Ms. Wallace and widow Faith Evans.
According to a Billboard exclusive, the hologram will make an appearance in a new Faith Evans video. The single is off of her upcoming LP, The King & I, which might have a tour component.
This announcement leaves fan questioning whether or not the technology will be used at the Bad Boy Records Reunion Show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, next month, on May 20 and 21 (Notorious B.I.G.’s birthday).
“We’ll meet with family members and just look to alternately capture the essence of Biggie,” said Paul Duffy, ARHT Media’s CEO.
No date has been shared about Faith Evans new video. Stay tuned.
