Kanye West is known to take his craft seriously. So when comedians (and actors) Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim take “Famous” for a spin, it’s highly welcome. The fun clip takes place in Europe. According to Rolling Stone, it was filmed during the second season of Master of None, which was shot in Italy.
The two go wild as they roam through the streets. Other shots include their glorious reactions after tasting food and drinking wine, bringing Swizz Beatz’s “Goddamn” and “Woo” ad libs to life.
Ye has yet to release any videos off of his latest album, The Life of Pablo. Without supporting visuals or physical copies, the LP still managed to land at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
The Chicago rapper has described the body of work as a “living breathing changing creative expression.” He debuted the LP in grand fashion at his Madison Square Garden Yeezy Season 3 fashion show. He performed “Ultra Light Beam” on Saturday Night Live soon after. Since its release, he’s made significant changes including lyric changes on “Famous” and swapping out songs.
This isn’t the first of Kanye West’s songs to get the visual treatment by outside sources. Zach Galifianakis and Will Oldham shot a parody to “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and let’s not forget when James Franco and Seth Rogen mocked “Bound 2.”
