Puff Daddy is no stranger to epic moves. His latest one will allow fans to witness history. Next month, on May 20 & 21, Bad Boy Records’s roster will reunite for two reunion shows in Brooklyn, New York, at the Barclays Center. That’s huge, not only because of the artists involved— Total, 112, Carl Thomas, Mario Winans, French Montana, Yung Joc, Black Rob, and more—but also because
With the dates nearing, Puff dropped into Hot 97 to discuss the upcoming shows. “I’m extremely humbled and all of us are, about the intensity in which the tickets were sold. First show sold out in seven minutes. The second show, I just found out, was in two hours…I just want to thank everybody for supporting us for 20 years,” he said.
One thing that fans are speculating is the inclusion of the Notorious B.I.G. hologram. ARHT Media recently announced its creation, and said it will debut in one of Faith Evans’ videos. There’s also a chance that the technology will be taken on her tour.
“I haven’t seen the Biggie hologram. I was always not with the holograms. I saw the other ones before and I think they were likenesses, but I was never in the crowd so I don’t know how it felt,” he admitted. “I don’t know if I can actually handle it. I’m not against seeing it.”
If the Notorious B.I.G. hologram makes an appearance, that would be a huge moment from Brooklyn. For more of Puff’s thoughts on Epic Records, DJ Khaled, and Big, watch the interview in full above.
