When whispers of a potential beauty brand from Rihanna surfaced late last year, fans were left wondering just what the singer’s latest ventures would entail. It seems as though we have a bit more insight into what one can expect for the upcoming brand. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Rihanna has officially reached a deal with luxury conglomerate LVMH for an estimated $10 million, in what one can imagine will be an exclusive distribution deal.
There is still very little information on the actual makeup collection, however, though sources say “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna” will be released in the fall of 2017. “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience,” David Suliteanu, the chief executive officer of LVMH’s Kendo, said to WWD. “We are aiming for the stars.”
This is hardly Rih’s first round in the beauty and makeup industry. In addition to launching her own beauty line, Rih has previously worked with MAC for her special-edition makeup collections (who can forget RiRi Woo), as well as releasing several of her own fragrances – all while launching Fr8me, a style and beauty agency that works with artists for commercials, editorial shoots, and red-carpet events.
