Whenever Snoop Dogg hops on Instagram to share his feelings about public figures, it’s usually pretty harsh. He kept the tradition going by speaking his mind on former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and a certain prisoner he allowed to be released early.
Snoop Dogg‘s latest bark comes after convicted murderer Esteban Nunez was released from prison on Sunday after serving seven years behind bars for killing 22-year-old Luis Santos in 2008. Nunez and a friend stabbed Santos in a drunken rage after being denied access to a party.
Nunez’ sentence was shortened from 16 years to seven by Schwarzenegger on his last day in office in 2011. Nunez is the son of former California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, who is reportedly a close friend of Schwarzenegger.
Snoop Dogg took offense to the news, especially since he led a campaign for clemency and a stay of execution for former Crips gang founder Stanley “Tookie” Williams only to see Schwarzenegger allow the execution to go as planned. In 2005, Schwarzenegger ignored pleas from Snoop and other community leaders saying that Tookie was reformed [he authored several anti-gang books during his sentence] and served to change more lives being alive that he would dead.
In the emotional clip, Snoop says:
“This n*gga is a straight bitch. Punk motherf*cker, how you going to let this n*gga out of jail, n*gga, but you’re going to kill Tookie Williams? Because homeboy was your friend? Motherf*cker, I can’t stand you. You is one motherf*cking racist piece of shit. F*ck you, Arnold Schwarzenegger.”
This is not the first time Snoop has made his feelings about Schwarzenegger known. He called him a “b*tch” once before on his 2005 track “Real Talk,” that was in part a dedication to Williams.
Not much, if anything can be found on Snoop Dogg, who started his career on Death Row, and his views on the death penalty in California. He has gone on record to say that his voting for Hillary Clinton, who has not spoke against the death penalty outright, but has said that it should be used on a “limited” basis.
